As newcomers to northern Virginia, we were complete strangers to the highly aggressive housing market in this area. The very nature of this unique housing market makes buyers very dependent upon their realtors, especially buyers who are new to this area. Buyers need a realtor to be much more than someone who just shows a house and then drafts an offer to purchase. It is a realtor’s integrity, customer-focus, knowledge, experience, and expertise that can make the difference between a sale and a financial disaster. Maggie was keenly aware of the critical role she played, and she took her responsibilities very seriously.

We worked with Maggie for nearly a year. Unfortunately, the right house within our price range and school districts never materialized. We came close several times, but in each case the estimated repairs made the cost prohibitive. During that time, we rented a small condo. When our landlady offered to sell the condo to us, we asked Maggie for her advice. Maggie knew that if we bought the condo, she would not receive a commission, as it would be a for- sale-by-owner purchase. Maggie could have told us to forgo the condo and continue to look for a house, so she would receive a commission. Instead, she said, " If the three of you can manage in that 793 square foot condo, then buying it would be a very wise decision." After having previously owned a beautiful home in a different party of the country, it was hard for us to settle for a tiny condo that cost more than twice the selling price of our previous home. But, with Maggie’s blessing, we decided to go ahead and buy the condo. That was a year ago, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made.

The bottom line was that we discovered we could trust Maggie to look out for our best interests. She came into our lives during a time of great heartache when we desperately needed a real estate agent in whom we could place our faith. Maggie exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are most grateful. She has our very highest recommendation!
